Burning Silicon Pre-Compression Party

A couple months ago, Sandy McBride (who shot most of the photos below and is Burning Silicon's lead organizer) asked me to bring my art project to a planned Pre-Compression party 26 July. Her request gave me a much needed kick in the butt-without the looming deadline, I doubt I'd have gotten this close to being done by now.
Still to do is the painting of the ball, the 'sun' and electrical system, a ladder and manhole cover.

Moving an 8' sphere is a tough job-even if it seperates into 2 parts.

When enough strong folk showed up, the 2 halves of the ball were re-united after nearly a year of seperation. I'm glad they still fit.
